09/06/2018

More than 4.000 children have participated. The objective is to raise public awareness of the need to guarantee equal opportunities for children, and to publicize the existence in Catalonia of social entities that work with children in situations of social vulnerability.

PortAventura World has filled this Saturday of smiles with the solidarity party "Smile for childhood", which this year has reached the sixth edition. With the objective of raising public awareness of the need to guarantee equal opportunities for children, and to publicize the existence in Catalonia of social entities that work with children in situations of social vulnerability, this solidarity party is celebrated, where children, teenagers, young people and families have been able to enjoy different activities, under the element that unites them, the "smile", regardless of their socio-economic and family situation.

In this, more than 4,000 children, adolescents and young people from more than 100 centers or services for childhood and adolescence at risk of social exclusion have participated, accompanied by more than 500 educators and educators, together with host families from all over Catalonia.

This event, under the slogan # somriuxlainfancia6, is carried out with the collaboration of the PortAventura Foundation, which focuses its efforts on supporting projects and conferences dedicated to children and young people at risk of exclusion for social, health or economic reasons.

Childhood, a priority
At noon, the main event of "Smile for childhood" was presented, presented by actor David Solans, protagonist of the series Merlí de TV3, where childhood has been claimed as a priority in our society as well as enhancing the inclusion and equal opportunities of access to the leisure of children, adolescents and young people at risk.

The solidarity party, organized by FEDAIA has been possible thanks to the PortAventura Foundation, which decided, and this was the sixth consecutive year, to group the management of ticketing at a reduced price in this solidarity event aimed at all Entities that serve children and young people with disabilities or social risk.
