The 16th edition of "Posa't la Gorra" brings together more than 6,000 people in PortAventura Park

Last Saturday, May 12, the party "Posa't la Gorra!" came the 16th edition, organized by the Association of Children with Cancer (AFANOC) in collaboration with the Fundació PortAventura.

More than 6,000 people put on their caps in solidarity with children and adolescents with cancer and their families. In addition to the attractions of the Park, they could enjoy performances, entertainment and workshops at the party located in the Plaza de China where the journalist and writer Jair Domínguez was the master of ceremonies. How always the most important and emotional moment of the party was the reading of the manifesto by two couples of sisters, accompanied by the institutional representatives and members of the AFANOC board.

The money raised will be used to maintain the services of the Tarragona delegation of AFANOC and new projects aimed at improving La Casa dels Xuklis, a shelter for all families who have to move from their towns of origin to receive treatment in the main reference hospitals in Barcelona and which, in 6 years in operation, has already served almost 900 families.

This was the first event that included the participation of the new volunteer group of the Fundació PortAventura, which actively collaborated in the various activities prepared for this solidarity party.
