FEDAIA HOLDS A CHARITY PARTY TO CELEBRATE CHILDHOOD AT PORTAVENTURA WORLD

“Somriu per la infància” is the slogan under which FEDAIA, in partnership with the PortAventura Foundation, held the fourth edition of an event that aims to raise awareness and promote solidarity in society about the need to invest in policies that guarantee equal opportunities for children, adolescents and young adults. A day where the protagonists were children and young people. A day where a smile was the symbol of togetherness and equality.

The event was also supported by “la Caixa” social projects, Tarragona and Barcelona city councils, Cercanías de Cataluña train network and the SER radio network, amongst others.

To make all of this possible, FEDAIA sold tickets at a special price of €18. The funds raised will be allocated to social projects promoted by the federation such as the “Somriu per la infància" party that has allowed thousands of vulnerable children to participate in this event for free.

La FEDAIA és la plataforma que agrupa a Catalunya el conjunt d’entitats d’infància, joves i famílies en situació de risc social o desemparament. Nascuda l’any 1996, està formada per 91 entitats que atenen a més de 100.000 infants i 35.000 famílies a través de serveis en l’àmbit de l’acció social, l’educació, la formació pre-laboral i l’atenció a les famílies, com per exemple centres d’acollida residencial i familiar, adopció, pisos assistits, punts de trobada, residències maternals, centres oberts, serveis de teràpia familiar, UECs, PFI, entre d’altres.
